Acupuncture Treatments

Acupuncture Treatments are performed in an open setting on a comfortable recliner or treatment table. Each patient comes in at their designated appointment time and receives an individual assessment and treatment based on their own needs.

Once the acupuncture treatment has been performed, patients are able to relax in the private room for 40 to 60 minutes. The group setting enhances treatments by creating a collective healing energy, similar to group meditation or yoga. Patients often enter deep sleep during their treatments

Pulse and Tongue Diagnosis

As part of your intake, viewing your tongue and feeling your pulse can provide a Chinese Medical practitioner with a great deal of information about your body to help guide the treatment.

During the Treatment

My needling technique is very gentle, and I work very closely with my patients to make sure their experiences are comfortable and positive. With acupuncture, more needles does not always mean better results, but accurate selection of specific acupuncture points and placement are really the keys giving a excellent treatment.

Needles are typically retained for about 20 minutes. I often play soothing music to help you relax during this time. Patients often enter deep sleep during their treatments.

Safety

Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Therapy are safe procedures that are well known for their efficiency and lack of side effects. Acupuncturists use disposable needles when administering acupuncture treatment and comply with strict regulations for proper needle sterilization and disposal.

After Treatment

Your relief may be immediate, delayed for a few hours or even develop after 1 to 3 days. The relief may last for a few hours on the first visit and then last longer with each successive treatment. OR, relief may last from the first treatment until your next visit. It is important to recognize that we are all individuals. Individual response to treatment varies.
